Why I want to blog for CanadianGardening.com:
I fell in love with gardening about five years ago. Every year when the snow melts away and the perennials I planted the year before begin to grow (I hope), I am met with new learning experiences as a rookie gardener.
There are a lot of experts in this field everywhere you look online. I want to blog for CanadianGardening.com because I am anything but an expert and I want to share my triumphs and tribulations as a new gardener with others who are interested in starting out but who may be scared to kill something.
I'm here to say that I've been there and I've done that (a few times) and I still love it.
I am a chatty person and I love sharing stories with everyone. I write for my own blog and I write a monthly column about saving money for my community newspaper.
I am also moving in to a new house in April complete with a large area for a vegetable garden and I'd love to write about my gardening experiences in a new home.
This picture here is of me with one broccoli plant that I grew myself. It grew so large that I couldn't cut it at the base so I had to rip the whole thing out at the roots. The tag that came with the broccoli didn't say it was supposed to get that big! Regardless, it was delicious...
Thanks for reading.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I will be posting about my gardening experiences on my blog at www.thisbirdsday.com as soon as the garden can be worked :)
I would LOVE to learn more about gardening. I am going to be doing my own garden next year and I will be canning too!
We are new vegetable gardeners ourselves and would love to read post from other gardeners. That would be too cool.
I would love to read a blog from a mostly beginners point of view! Plus I really enjoy everything you write Sherri.
As a gardening novice, I would love to read your stories and learn more!
Nice job Sherri. You are becoming famous....
I think you would write a great blog cause you are starting from scratch just like a lot of people :D
I would love to hear about the plans for your new garden and how it all turns out!!
keep it up I have request could you please include my request to help me with. 1.How to grow Kadi Patta plant? 2.How to grow Cilantro? I did try with this but did not get good result.
I would love to read your blog. I am just getting into gardening and would appreciate any and all advice you have! It looks like you know what you are doing already with the picture of the broccoli! Nice job!!!! :-)
I would love to read about your gardening! my husband and i started gardening, growing our own veggies and fruits, plants and such last year, and it has been so much fun being able to do so on our own, and watch our plants grow. I look forward to reading your tips about gardening!
I love to garden too and I am a total amateur as well! I think it would be great to get tips and stories from someone in the same boat!
I'd love to read along as you tackle your new garden project. I started growing my own vegetables last year as a way to save money and I hope to branch out to some flowers this year. I would love to read more from people who are just at the beginning of finding their love of gardening. I am 'rooting' for you. I found this contest through your website and if you are not chosen here, I hope you will be posting your adventures in gardening there.
I try to be a gardener but I'm not all that successful! Looks like you did well with that huge broccoli!
As a new gardener, I am so excited to see what you are going to write about. Your tips and advice are always so clear and easy to follow, and you are an "everywoman", I know that what you write about will be stuff I can do too. Financially, resource wise, and ability based!! I am really looking forward to this, keep it up!

I think a gardening article from a newer gardener would be great, especially since you're going to move into a new home and that will mean new soil to amend and such.
It is nice to see you like to garden. I love to read your stories, which you are good at writing. Keep doing what you love to do.
